Tom Ondrus, R.I.P.

As information, Tom Ondrus, of Crown Press, whom I'm sure at least some here knew, passed away yesterday. Tom was always the consummate gentleman in my dealings with him. Most of the rifle ribs and lower ribs that I've used over the years in building my double rifles, I bought from Tom. He will be sorely missed in the double gun community. Tom had also taken all of the big five other than rhino. May all his trails be easy!

Best,
Ron.

I just talked with him last week, seemed upbeat no hint of the seriousness of his health. Sorry to hear of his passing. may he rest in peace

I built a .577NE for him, and found him to be nothing but a gentleman and friend. The double gun fraternity certainly will miss him.

I am truely sorry tyo hear of Tom's paaaing. I considered him a good friend, even if I never met him in person. We spent alot of time emailing back and forth and spent loads of time talking double guns over the phone.
I have bought tons of stuff from Tom, from Wickliffe kits to ribs and other parts. I will miss being able to do business with him, but I will miss talking to him and his sense of humor even more. Tom Ondrus, rest in peace, my friend.

My condolences to Tom's family, I bought a english double from Tom a couple years back and he was most helpful in helping it get exported to Australia and going the extra mile to help me with this also in email and phone conversations I enjoyed his wit and humour and his vast knowledge on all things firearms,America has lost a true gentleman.
