I thought only one guy fired as like you, I only heard one shot.
Will go and have another look.
Well, in looking at it, they both seemed to reload one round and it could be that they both fired at exactly the same time ???????
I notice one of them says "reload" but don't know what protocols PH's use. I know in some situtations I say "reloading" even if the other person hasn't fired to let them know in case another animal jumps up - ie Pig, Buff etc.

Jeez, from what I see the hunter never gets a chance, it's the PH who's using the double yes ? Mind you, they'd have been toast if he hadn't whacked it, the hunter didn't seem to have a clue what was going on or am I wrong ?, best, Mike

I agree, I think the hunter was a very slow in reacting.
Then again, that's why / one of the reasons people pay for PH's !!! LOL
I always thought that you sorted out with the PH who did what in what situation - I know my PH when hunting Buff here asked me what I would do if we copped a charge so we all knew what to do. Funny thing is, only ever been charged when I was the only one able to shoot !!!

Speaking of other animals, what is that coming through the trees just at the end of the video?

Yes thats professional hunter Ivan Carter doing the shooting. I think Ivan handled it as well as he could, the hunter is out of frame so its hard to say what he was doing. Though I would imagine he was to startled to give a hand.
Lucky Ivan was on point.

Yes, agree, the PH did everything right IMHO.
It takes a lot to be cool under fire, especially standing your ground.

I just looked at it again, the charge happened so fast the client is still behind (albeit slightly left) the PH so IMHO he was right not to fire - plus it was all so fast.
I wouldn't want someone to fire from that position.
He did have the frame of mind to move to the left and away from the PH !!!

Mike,
I realise you weren't criticizing the PH.
Which Video were you referring to ?
The 1st or the 2nd ?

It all comes down to "Habit" that is what he would say normally to the hunter so he did it "Ah La Naturally"
Cheers,
