Here is another one taken by my client here on the Alaskan peninsula a week ago.

That bear is what I consider an honest 9 1/2 foot bear and it was the smallest of the six we killed this season. the skull was 26"

WE left a few for nexr year though

How COOL is THAT? Like being in their living room.

Here are a couple of mine. Both from Russia. The small one on the wall is a long story and certainly a mistake caused mainly by the language barrier between me and the Russian guides. I don't recommend Russia unless you have some experience with judging bears yourself. The larger one I did much better on. The Russia hunt has quite a bit more "Culture and Adventure" than Alaska, including seeing Moscow on the way over and back, but I think overall the Alaska bears are larger! It's also much less of a hassle to get into hunting camp in Alaska.

I hope to do at least 1 more Brownie but Alaska will be the destination this time.

Really good friend of mine just got back from the AK pennisula...said he and his guide were constantly stalked by a brownie for 4 days--he was causing them grief so they ended up shooting the bear....he was not happy with both the hunt or the size of the bear...but stated someone had a hunter up there from South Dakota..who ended up shooting one over 10 ft---nice bear...

I REALLY want to go back up there for another big brownie.. that and moose -...

thank you

Those are great pics, HogPilot.

Below are some shots of a young lady who has now joined our black powder section of the R&Gun club. She's an excellent shot with rifle, shotgun (modern and BP) or with her compound bow, as shown below. Nice little brown phase blackie. Perfect practise makes perfect, A.

Yes, Daryl. That's the first thing I noticed about her. Her bear.
