Close up pix of Recknagel / Chapuis rings and mounts set?

I just received a set but they look like they mount directly to the rib. Many pix seem like they're mounting to some sort of "disc" like a claw mount.

Does anyone have any pix of how this is mounted and how it "pivots"? This is my first double so I'm a bit ignorant and want to make sure I know what I'm doing. Thanks in advance.

There's 2 sections of the rib that is held with 2 screws each. Those are removed and the bases put in right there.
Those screws are very tight on mine and I had to drill the screw heads off to remove them.

Arent there two sets of bases? I think you take two peaces out of the rib and replaces them with the bases.

Perhaps you only got the rings and not the bases (not a kit).
