UK Rifle Specialist?

Hi

I have found literally tons on different people in the UK to help restore / work on shotguns.

However, I can't seem to find anywhere mention of specialists in British rifles?

Does anyone of? Have experience with?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi There,

You can speak to Bob Harvey Tel 01827-383026. Although I don't have any Doubles my old stalking mentor has and uses Bob. I believe he was doing the regulation for him on the new 7x56R barrels on his. I had Bob sort out the bedding and test shoot a P-H 1200 Super in 7.92 and although i didn't ask him to he noticed that the Leupold Q/R bases didn't fit the action perfectly so he fitted them as they should be. I can attest that his work is excellent.

Bob's workshop is in Garlands Yard opposite Garlands Gunshop so it's a fair ole way from London being "Up North".

It depends on what you want doing. Some people to try in the first instance might be
J Roberts & Son as you are in London
Another might be Ronald Wharton in Sussex
If its anything to do with target or foxing rifles try Norman Clark in Rugby
Then you have numerous custom bolt rifle makers such as Pete Walker, Callum Ferguson and Steve Bowers
If its barrel threading or screw cutting for a moderator, alot of gun shops use Brock & Norris
