I have sent the advertiser a message asking how it is possible for a sidelock drilling to have 3 (!) sidelocks. Normally, sidelock drillings have a Blitz lock on the trigger plate for the rifle barrel. I will be interested in his answer.

Incidentally, this advertiser always has some interesting (and expensive) stuff.

I bought a single shot rifle from this seller this past year. Good person to deal with. Had no problems with the gun. He always has intersting guns which move quickly.

Those i have seen has two locks on one of the sideplates next to another.

I thought of that, but the pin patterns on both side plates seem to be the same.

Why wouldnt they be, the third lock is the same as the one next to the plate.

Ah, I see what you mean. You're saying that the right shot barrel lock is sandwiched between the rifle barrel lock and the lock plate, correct? That would make for a pretty weak stock, I would think, with all that wood cut out to accomodate two locks on one side plate. Sidelock stocks are notoriously weak anyway.

No answer from the seller, incidentally.

Exactly, and they need to be fitted 100% or, crack.

But they do look nice when taken out. I cant find it but somewere i have seen a vierling with the double lock on both sides, probably not much wood left there.
