Note that these Kudu bulls are lured into a pile of lucerne hay (alfalfa) and seem to be aware of the great hunter in the seemingly permanent blind by the amount of noise emanating from it suggesting they are partly tame or have had a fair amount of human contact..perhaps its an "Game Ranch" whatever it is not hunting and the fella that arrowed that bull should be told the bloody difference.
I would be ashamed to let anyone know that i took one of Africas most famous trophy animals in such a manner.
The buzz word to me when Africa is mentioned is HUNTING and this certainly is NOT
My rant for the month!
PS One would have thought that they would have at least cut the bush in front down .

I thought his gloves were too big. His camo pattern sucked. Very bad dress sense.

Well, I had just read your other thread "Mugabe's promised land", and then this one, hence my comment about form.
But I do agree with you, it's a bit like using Salt licks on deer et al.
And I thought they were tame - the animal looked at the blind, kept on chewing and that was it - he didn't seem to tense up and prepare for "fight or flight" like you see in other videos on Africa.
So yes, a bit canned.
I'd want to see more of Africa than just from a blind, even if it was driving around in a vehicle to find the game and cover more ground.

That is a edited tape for promotional purposes. They are following a blood trail and you can see the animal laying in plain sight behind them.
Bah humbug!

Yeah the lucerne in front of the hide really adds to the 'sporting' hunt.
Now the difference between these kudu and some I observed from a hide in Hwange Nat Park in 1994. Sitting over a waterhole, the impala just wandered in like idiots, not a concern, who cares if a couple more of their compatriots get eaten or something .... the kudu wandered around on the margins and took over an hour to come in carefully.
I like the way the kudu stare at the camera repeatedly.
"Help turn your dreams into nightmares."
How fitting.
Another bullshit hunt just to make a stupid advertisement. What was another, a hard cast .45/70 bullet penetrating two rhinos or something .... also
