lost world abc elephant gun

about june 2002 there was another conan doyle lost world series,two part i think? with two allosaur getting shot with what appeared to be a a 8 or 10 guage elephant gun does anyone know what it really was?

That big banger was a 600 nitro double by US gunmaker Butch Searcy. I believe he actually made two of these for the film.

This is quite opportune. I was wondering what the double in the "Jurassic Park - The Lost World" movie was.

Watched it on video this week. Anyone who knows what that double used by the professional hunter in the game capture operations was?

It would also be very interesting to know just how effective any big bore would be on a meat eating dinosaur. With their tiny brains, massive bodies, huge bone and muscle structures I think nervous system shock would be out. And breaking bones and muscles would also be difficult.

Just how would a 600 or 700 nitro perform?

In the original novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Lord John Roxton has a .470 double and a .577 double. Nice!
