I wish I was a Purdey owner. Some freinds have some handed down Purdeys which dont get used much. When I get my supperannuation payout, I will be looking for a reasonably priced purdey 12G. Anyone know of any places which deal in used Purdeys?

Purdeys run from around GBP5,500 ( c.USD10,350 ) here in the UK. For that you could expect a pre-WW1 gun with sleeved barrels. Guns with original barrels start at about GBP8,500. A new gun starts from around GBP50,000. The last time I looked the new Purdey site was under construction but you could have a look at www.johnfostergunmaker.co.uk who has Purdeys starting from that lower price range.
