Chapuis QD scope & mounts recommendation?

For a smaller bore 30-06 or 9.3x74R Chapuis UGEX, what quick detachable scope mounts would you recommend and which would you avoid and why?

Hi hoser,

I had what you mention but in .375 but the story is the same... That is, Recknagel make a specific QD Pivot mount for the Chapuis DR and is only available via Chapuis or at least it is in Australia, holds Zero and gives quick use of either sights.

Then put a S&B Zenith scope in whatever power you choose with a FD7 reticle (Flash Dot #4) and all your bases are covered.

Just ask them yourself re an Agent in US.. www.recknagel.de You can download their cataloge in English (Sorry not American)

Well, after owning and using claw mounts, i REALLY don't like the swing mount on my Chapuis.

I hope to replace it with a claw mount before next hunting season...

These picts. should help you see how it work...

You hook the front claw in place,

Rotate the scope down,

Until it locks in,

It's so much easier than that contraption that's on my Chapuis. I have two scopes for the above gun, and both always come back to zero when i snap them on.
