Uganda: Crocodile Eats Bugiri Fisherman New Vision Moses Bikala
23 December 2009
Kampala — A 44-year-old fisherman in Singira village, Sigulu islands, in Bugiri distinct was attacked by a crocodile as he was bathing in the lake last Sunday night.
Residents said they heard someone raise an alarm at around 11:30pm.
They later found the fisherman's head, shirt, trouser and mobile phone on the shores.
According to the LC1 chairperson, Badru Magoola, incidents of crocodiles attacking residents are common during the months of December and January.
Magoola said residents believe the crocodiles are sent by witchdoctors from Tanzania.
The LC3 chairman, Gilbert Wanyama, said residents of the island had earlier been cautioned against going to the shores of the lake in the night.
The resident district commissioner, Margret Mwanamoiza, said over 15 people had been killed by crocodiles in the district since the beginning of the year.
She appealed to the Uganda Wildlife Authority to deploy more workers on the lake to help trap the reptiles.

They found the head on the shore?????
Of course a big croc could twist and rip the head off, then leave it there and carry the body away, but this seems strange to me.

I mean really , just read it out loud & I think you will see they must mean "HAT" must time's body parts are found only in the water (in the bloody Croc) or washed in to reeds !
He would have taken his gear off got in the water (Yes some poeple are that dumb) & Croc took him . It does say he was bathing , his head would have to fly out of the water , I suppose if the Croc shock him enough ?
