I wonder if Winchester will get seious about loaded ammo and component brass in these calibers now? I haven't seen .416 components in years, and to the best of my knowledge, they no longer make .375 H&H component brass.

I would have sworn that Remington still made 416 Rem. brass, but the only brass I could find was made by A Square, on the Midway site. Amazing. Has the 416 Remington just fizzled out to the point that Remington no longer supports it?

Remington still makes brass for the 416 Rem. Midway has it.

I have never had problems getting reloading components for a .416 Rem--in fact in the last few years it has actually gotten easier...same can be said for the .375 H&H --unless you were referring strictly to Winchester componenets??

I believe that Winchester got out of the .375 component brass several years ago. I could very be mistaken though.

In Alberta, .416 Remington components are tough to source with any degree of regularity. A 50 round bag of brass here and there simply does not cut the mustard for me.

I checked the Remington website and .416 Remington brass was no longer catalogued. Superb caliber, but in need of support from its parent.

wonder what is up-??--here in Montana I have had no problem finding it when I need it--been buying it as Scheels in Billings or now that Cabela's has opened there will check that out as well..really have not had a need for it lately as I have several hundred rounds loaded...will probably last me a while..

I have always wanted a Winchester M70 in 375H&H. They are very nice looking rifles.

Used to have 2--made a really dumb move about 15 years ago and traded a stainless in .375 for another gun...seems as though every time I trade one off it has come back to haunt me--which is why I have been in the accumulation phase for a very long time...

Can't wait to take a look at these to see how well they are built ...if nothing else would be a good action to base a custom off of, IMHO...

My late and dear friend Lester H. Hawkes of Kalispel Montana had two M70's that he purchased in 1952 from Winchester, both .375's. Both rifles came with 2 1/2X Lyman Alaskan scopes. One was bobbed to 22" and became Les' guide rifle on the T-Bar-3 Dude ranch (I think that was the name). The other remained unfired until I become friends with Less whilst wearing Red Serge in 1972. THOSE were hunting rifles par-excellence. One, the non-shortened rifle with 25"(I think) factory length barrel is curently owned by another of Les' Canuck friends.

Remington has a very unique method of marketing and production.

Whenever the supply of brass/ammo for a particular caliber has vanished quickly, they don't find a need to replenish it! You would think that Remington would get the message, but they don't.

Have done battle with Remington for several years on this same point and found it to be frustrating! This started when I was trying to locate .458 Win. Mag. brass (for my .416 Taylors). After MUCH searching, I managed to find 200-rounds of once-fired Remington nickle brass in some obscure gunshop up in New Hampshire. During this time, I was having a running battle with Remington who couldn't determine IF they were going to tool up for another supply of this brass.

I can understand that there must be a limit on what you produce. But, when the demand for a product is strong, you ought to consider producing a supply of it. Remington apparently doesn't seem to think so!
