Thanks, John.

What did I have wrong?

Will edit to add some info.

<edit>
Ah, Ok.... Seems that there's a time limit on editing. Fair enough.

The photos you linked from another forum were being blocked by that forum. When this happens it can also block other photos from displaying as well. I moved them all onto a NE server.

Thanks guys, I'd love to take the credit but the photo was taken by a pal. The camera is a Nikon
digital but I do not know which model. They are pretty amazing the high end digitals aren't they?

Yes John. The high-end stuff is very good.

I'm struggling with a pocket digi.
Excellent value for money as far as the "normal" stuff goes, but it's just too slow for hi-res action shots. I can put ity in burst mode, which is great for action pics when the action is at your feet, but when there's any distance, the normal modes take 1/2 a second betweeb button-psuh and picture being taken.

Surprising how much can happen in that 1/2 second.

I'll be buying better.... when the drought has broken and I get a decent season under my belt.

Your so right Peter a lot of people simply do not believe how fast things happen with the running dogs.
I have an amazing photo collection of blurs, dogs bums, tree stumps and clouds of dust etc LOL

But as you say the only way to go is the top end stuff but it aint cheap !

Nice team you have thats a beautiful lurcher (Stag) you have just the ticket.

This is the sort of thing that I can do reasonably with the current rig, if I can get the settings correct before "interesting" things start to happen.

The thought of having a rig capable of taking full-res at a decent frame rate is very attractive... even if you do end up deleting 90% of the photos that you've taken.

Similar here. I culled about a dozen before deciding that this presendaed the dogs to best advantage.

.... and then there was the object of the exercise.

That these pics have been seen on other forums only shows how few really good ones I have. <sigh>

Cheers........ Pete

<edit>
Nope, it just ain't working.

(Pete, have corrected the image addresses. Left the old ones there. Click on EDIT and have a look at the difference. NitroX)

Neither set of addresses is working at my end.
Is there an album on this site which we can use to park photos?

I'm feeling like a pain in the neck.

(Pete, Now removed the old ones and they load up OK. Not a problem. NitroX)

I have a Canon EOS digial camera (ie SLR) and also a pocket one.

The pocket one is VERY difficult to use for moving shots as it takes too long for the photo to be taken, unlike the much better Canon.

The pocket one is OK for scenic shots, portraits eg trophy photos etc but not much use for wildlife. With it one has to track even a slow animal to make sure it stays in the photo even after pressing the shutter. Same as a rifles lock speed hey?

Rained an inch yesterday here!

Guess what I am doing today? Working up a couple of paddocks for a hay crop. I don't have minimum tillage equipment.

A bit fuzzy. Hitting the limits of resolution.

No..... The Jack Russell is only that fast in her dreams. She just guessed right on which way the rabbit would jink.
