Hmmm... what should one use for crocodile hunting in the sewers of Manhattan?
Given the ricochet dangers posed by engagements in concrete and brick tubes, I'm thinking something along the lines of a 21" Remington Model 11 /Browning Auto-5 in 12 gauge, with an extended magazine tube and shortened buttstock.

I say this a lot in media comments and it really shits the Greenies off.

I think it would be great to try to get a similar article up in Australia about newbies to the sport of hunting and the benefits of wild game.

It just struck me that I am an urbanite that explored the primal lure of hunting into a life right smack dab into the middle of my beloved "nowhere"!
Granted, I left New Jersey when I was 18 and never looked back, but it just goes to show ya that it does happen to some of us. I guess there's hope!

I've fed all descriptions of vegetarian/vegan/raw/yadda... folks from around here on coastal california game - even turned a PETA organizer onto black bear here one night at a dinner party.
She loved it!
I have a list an arm's length of urban 'street urchins' who would love the chance to get out on a hunt - most want to simply get out and observe, for the experience etc, and there are a few of them who I'm considering taking on the next blacktail/boar hunt as packers!

I was raised as a boy on the foot of Mt Tamalpias here in the SF Bay Area. My brother and I would chase fawn through the trails that went through our back yard (while out on Bay Leaf/Rosemary gathering chores for our Great Grandmother) every day. We'd take 20+mile hikes to the lakes to fish and catch crawdads three-four times a week. At the same time of my life I'd spend at least a couple days a week in downtown San Francisco.
At this time in life I'm done with the urban crap - and I want to get my kids a lot further away from what's happening here around Oakland and SF. Still we're a short walk from a live creek and we spend quite a bit of family time on cattle management land out on the ranch. I do all I can to keep the kids grounded in the soil and all it's wonders. I think I'm fortunate to have had the coaxial exposure to wilderness and metropolis through the full course of my life.
Cheers Tinker

I like the little video on the article too. Wanted to get a copy to keep as a future reference but couldn't work out how.
Good small video and shows hunting for meat in a great way to non hunters.
