L. Christophe a Bruxelles

I have in my possession a 12/70 gauge boxlock ejector shotgun with treble-grip action and side-bolsters marked L. Christophe a Bruxelles, which I bought years ago, sadly minus the butt stock. It is otherwise in reasonable condition, but knowing nothing about the maker/seller, I have been hesitant to invest the money to restock it. Does anyone have any information about this maker/retailer?

In short it's probably a gunshop/dealer putting their name on the gun. L probably stands for Louis.
As in those pictures you might see another mark on the watertable of the actual maker.

They do say in that link the Louis was a Mechanical engineer educated in Liege and Bruxelles.
