Hello and my Double
      #143265 - 07/10/09 09:50 AM

Hello all, I wanted to say what a wonderful site and I am blown away by the truly magnificent gun you guys have. I have an interest in all doubles but mostly the Paradox and Explora type guns. Unfortunately I also have a big bore revolver affliction, both thanks to Ross Seyfried. So I have never been able to afford a real ball and shot gun from any of he great makers. But I do have a friend that is a excellent gunsmith and regulated and restocked this Fausti for me. It has been regulated for Brenneke Black Magic 3"magnums. Although it has proven to shoot a variety of different slugs well. I have just added the scope as a try out. I went with a EER because the gun weighs just over 7 lbs and recoil is hefty it also makes loading and unloading easier. It had a three leaf sight, one standing and two folding. I filed the standing sight off and filed the 1st standing sight for 50 yds. I can now fold the sights down and have used it for small game. Even though he cut the barrels it still has an IC choke according to my choke gauge, which explains why it has worked so well on small game. I know this is long winded for a poor mans Explora but hey I’m tickled pink.

First group fired at 60 yds

Welcome Rigby62.

I like the ingenuity with the rear sight.

Nice group too by the way.

Welcome Rigby. That's a nice gun. Have you taken any deer with it yet? I think a side by side is infinitely more appealing than a pump for shotgun only areas. I too blame Ross Seyfried for keeping me broke over the last 20 years, but a wonderful poverty it's been!

Thanks guys. Bob no deer yet, hopefully this year and I do live in a shotgun only area. My gunsmith did use its sister to take a nice black bear in Canada last year.
