Interesting read and good to see someone actually doing a decent test.

I will say that everything they have shown in that thread
has been done with Woodleigh Weldcore bullets in similar calibres - 30.06, 375 and 500 Jeffrey with similar if not
identical results.

The straight line comment is maybe one area they perform better but not many of my bullets seem to veer off from
what I have seen.

Well, I got on.

But there is an advertisement that blocks part of the post!

Thanks 500Nitro:

I finally got it;

Had to reply, then the whole thread had to load before the queer pirate thing got the hell out of the way.

As for these bullets, I am not kidding when I say I think Woodleigh is on to something big.

We sit around for years and years scratching our backsides waiting for somebody to truly improve the performance of the smokeless-powder-self-contained cartridge, and this thing really seems to me to be just such an improvement, and maybe worth the wait.

Thanks very much for posting, Gryph.

I'd like to get a few to run thru my boards and jugs so's I could make a comparison to other premium bullets. There is no doubt these things are heavy game killers. What I want to see is a duplicatable, quantitative comparison next to other known performers. Most all currently available Premiums reach a similar maximum penetration in my media {about 25% deeper than many traditional soft points}.

I have a hunch these Woodleighs might just stretch that maximum AND produce dramatic hydrostatic shock the whole way thru, something a normal solid does NOT do.

Very interesting, Gryph.

If you guys had six months of winter like we do here...my favorite season...I think I'd sell the ranch and emigrate to Oz...

Gryphon, PM sent.

And...yer hurtin' me..., yeah, 8 months is OK, a bit better than the 2 weeks the wolves have left us here for elk...

As for these bullets, I wonder if the .35 Remington is going to become a legitimate buff gun. A bit of a streth, really, maybe, but these things seem to have potential for the old common calibers like the .30-30, .300 Savage, .35 Remington and the like as well as for the highspeed modern rounds.

Do they have a recommended LOW END impact speed?

9.3 PM in return:I cant answer your q`s re low end impact speed.

I am sure that when he does make them my .358 Norma mag could drive them end to end through some of the big stuff.

Wildo and thanks.

I'm waiting for a reply on the other forum about low end speed and performance. I'm thinking longer range and/or slower cartridges.

Do you know if somebody has done testing at 100, 200, 300 and 400 meters to determine both terminal effect and trajectory? Such work would help sell the bullets in the USA, for sure.
