More ML Hogs

I started my ML hunting with a .50 cal Ardesa Hawken Woodsman, and a .50 cal Ardesa Deerhunter!

They worked too!

In the .50 cal I use the modified plain bullet made by Bushveld Muzzle Loading Supplies, and marketed as the game stalker! It is a 395 grain bullet, and I usually load 80 grains of BP or 90 grains of sub!

Here is a picture of the bullet after it travelled full length (end to end) of a large warthog boar!

This was the first hog I shot, and the first with a ML!

I used to carry both the .50 cals when hunting!
The deerhunter, which is short and handy was slung as back up, and the hawken was carried in the hand!



This hog was shot a long way from where this photo was taken, and was carried by yours truly - my old man carried the guns!



The wound you can see is an exit wound by the way!
