Cal has an excellent website. He is mentioned in Graeme Wright's new edition of Shooting British Double Rifles.

I got my copy today and just finished reading it. It is very interesting to see the range of weights, barrel lengths, and low production numbers (1-2 per year, even from Jeffery). By far the most comprehensive book out there on the 600s and it is great to have all of that info in one volume, but the best part is the pictures! I'm impressed.

I'll be at the Palmer show on Sunday.. Any idea if Cal will be ther hawking the book?

Did Marks Marcel Thys 600 make it in the book.It kinda looks like his in the green case there.

I am happy to report that you were wrong!

I have my signed copy of the book now!
When spring rolls around we're going to have a West Coast DRSS shoot out up at his place. And I suggested that he joins us here and at AR also!

Mike, I'm sure it won't be the last time I'm wrong. I must have read into the message when he said he'd be there in March. My mistake.

Nice book, isn't it? There's some serious artillery pictured there.

We'll definitely need to have a double shoot this spring. I have a ton of loads to test out.

He said that there is several that shot there a coupler of timers a month as it is. It will be a fun time I believe. He might even be talked into dragging out the bir 4 bore??? That's a big rifle at 25#!

Gents:

The summer shoots at my place are always fun with a lunch at Sheep Creek Lodge or a BBQ on my grill. This year we had the following calibers--all doubles except one: .450-400 (2), .450 no2 (2), .500 bpe, .450 bpe, .577 light nitro, .475, .375, .470, 10-bore, 7-bore, 8-bore (3), 4-bore (2, one a single Bland), and I'm sure there are more. I put a post in the bore rifle section under the heading of ".600 and 4-bore"--did it make it on? Did I put it in the wrong place? This is my first time on a forum. Hope to see you next summer.

Peter, AkMike, Antlers.
Thanks for the welcome. Did the last shoot of the season today with the .600, .450no2, and the 4-bore. Will clean and put the rifles away for the winter--the one downside of living in Alaska. We should strive to shoot these treasures more in the coming years and post photos, etc...Mike: glad you liked the book. It was a labor of love. Hopefully the next book on bore rifles will be as well received. Should have 30-50 8 bores and up to a dozen 4 bores photographed.
