Wow, what a terrific game!
The ref was better than most and neither team deserved to lose.
Congratulations to the Kiwis and commisserations to the Aussies!
John,

Maybe it's time we left the poms with that tedious old game and took up something exciting like baseball, which, it is now claimed, came from England, too.

Mate, we call it rounders and it's played by girls in the UK.
Truth be told, I expect you'll win 'em back next time though!

Dont worry our turn is coming this weekend. Boks v Wallaby's here in Perth on Saturday night . We have Gold tickets for the game, bloody expensive at $90+ per ticket but well worth it to see a good game. Wallaby's by 5 .
Any takers for a bottle of Grants ?

Alan,
I'd love to take you up on that bet but unfortunately, I think you're gonna be about right.
My forecast is that the South Africans will play well but as usual will forget the rules too frequently, get a lot of sin binning and give away a lot of penalties. In other words, they'll play their usual game.

Alan,
I guess it's too late to take you up on that bet now huh?

Steve, the Boks won the match from the kickoff. The Aussies showed small bursts of brilliance, how ever the Boks defence was exceptional and they deserved to win. Good crowd,36000plus and I have never seen so many South Africans in the one place. No sorry you had your chance. Maybe next time. Al

I thought that was a convincing win by the boks. There is a reason they are world champons and last night demonstrated that.
There was very little of the boks kicking game, they reverted to basic Rugby and still won despite low possession and spending a lot of time in their own half. Well done.
Time for the Aussies (us) to have a major rethink about how we work as a team. Even Matt Giteau went to sleep a few times. It's going to be hard to get it together with the boks soooo cohesive.
