If you find a dearth of dumb comments and questions coming from my corner over the next few weeks, it might be because I'm leaving for SA and Mozambique in 14 days.
Shakari, I take it the ice is safe in your neck of the woods - or is Ardbeg too smooth to put ice in.
Cheers - Paul

Seems to me Paul that Steve will look after you with not only a good bull but good whisky too!
Much better than chasing asiatic buffalo.

You went to the wrong place then, we had heaps of different drinks available to us when up there (all legal considering we were in Arhnemland).

As related earlier, I'm hunting Gabo del Gado with Jason van Aarde (Tomkinsons) for two weeks after driving up from SA - the drive being half the adventure. As well as buffalo, I hope to get a sable, kudu and maybe an impala. We're going to drop in on Steve (my forum mentor) on the way for a jar.
If I live to tell the tale, NT next time.
Cheers - Paul

Well, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Paul and Jason today for brunch and then took them to Lifeform Taxidermy for a look round the (very extensive) workshops.
Paul took lots of pics and I'll leave him to tell you the story when he gets home.

Thanks Steve, we are still in Pemba, heading off for the interior tomorrow. Jason and Tumo covered 3800 km in three days, mainly because there were very few places we could leave the truck safely to eat or sleep. We could have got here quicker but did not know the new bridge over the Zambezi had opened, and so camped back 100 km from it, waiting for the morning ferry. The wallopers stopped us about six times for no good reason but did not make us unpack the truck.
I don't suppose I'll get anywhere near a computer for the next 16 days so
Obregado and adios

Jason called me today but I was out of the office. The message was that they go to the bush today so I guess they start hunting tomorrow.
I wish them all the luck in the world and am itching to read the report when Paul gets home!

Just thought I'd let you guys know that I had a quick call from Jason this arvo.
I won't steal Paul's thunder but I can tell you they're now back from the bush and he'll be flying out of Mozambique in a couple of days time and it sounds like he had a good hunt...........
