I've just recently gotten good enough on the computer, to start digging up old patents. I find the drawings excellent for fully understanding mechanisms--and its also interesting to hear the inventor desribe his firearm in his own words...
Sometimes the old patents are hard to find. I have the Webley-Fosberry; as obscure as it was--but no permutation of "Revolver" "Topbreak" "Auto Ejecting" "Webley & Scott" "Webley MK VI" OR "Thomas W Webley" seems to do me any good.
Any Webley would be good. I am most interested in the Mark 6. Also, if anyone knows the patent number for the C96 Broomhandle Mauser...
If anyone wants some old patent #s--I have Iver Johnson; Harrigton & Richardson; some early Smith & Wesson--and all sorts of obscure ones that never got made...
Anyway, thanks.
