Armsport imported Meneson

Looking at an Armsport imported Meneson Model 2785, 12 ga over 270. It is listed in the 21st edition of the Blue Book but not in later editions. Marked "R. Memeson" on the frame and the underside of the barrel and "Renato Meneson" on the barrel. Not a bad looking gun and in good shape. I know Armsport is not known for importing only high grade guns so I'm trying to find out about this maker. Any help?

Are you sure it is not "Renato Menegon" stamped on the barrel? Renato Menegon are/were a rifle/shotgun combo manufacturer based in Brescia Italy.

Keen to see a photo anyhow.

Very well could be. Poor lighting in the shop and my eyes are not as they once were. That would explain why Google did not turn anything up. Will try under Menegon. What kind of quality were these guns? Asking price is $1100 US.

The renato Menegon company closed down afdter the founder's death AFAIK. They were good guns - if the one that you want is in good shape and you think that you would like to buy it, go ahead.
