Beginning my research, hoping somebody could suggest where I could find a supply of cases/ammo for the 12.7x108mm cartridge.

Why?

G'Day Excess Express,

How about you Google "Bruce Bertram" or "Bertram Brass", he's located in ? Victoria.

Otherwise try www.huntingtons.com for your cases.

I think it isn't easy in australia, the 12,7x108 russian is till now only a military cartridge. in europe it will be possible to get once fired brass from eastern europe country's but there? only think is that you can use 50 BMG bullets for reloading.

G'Day Fella's,

I miked up a .50 BMG case yesterday and it only measured in at 99 mm OAL?

Is the .50 BMG not to short (by 9mm or 0.354") to use without causing chamber neck erosion, in a 12.7 x 108 chambered firearm?

All,

Thank you for your replies.

Whilst 12.7x99mm is not at this time subject to legal restriction, I am concerned that it may be vulnerable to political expediency.

I am therefore interested in a cartridge with a lower profile.

The advantage of using the same projectiles is very significant and therefore the basis for not considering the 14.5 x 114mm cartridge.

Whilst I could always seek help from Bertram, I'd like to see what else may be available as a source of brass.

Any other pointers would be wonderful.

Cheers,
