2 Type A Oberndorf Mausers in .404 Jeffery

For those who may not have noticed, George Caswell has a pair of nice looking Type As in .404 Jeffery. See www.champlinfirearms.com

The asking price is about $11.5k for each rifle. They both look pretty good to me.

Didn't realize that, but no surprise I guess. He had one other one about 2 years ago ($9500 at that time if I remember correctly), which also didn't last long. I have a prewar GH in .404 and would love to have an original Mauser, but this just wasn't the right timing for me.

Maybe another one will pop up in about 2 years...........
