Martini Cadet/ now with pictures

Hello all,

I have a problem and maybe some one hear has a solution:) I have in my possesion a really nice Birmingham made for Austalia Cadet It is in very good condition I bought this gun with the intention of making it into a custom rifle but I hesitate because this one is too nice to take apart I believe. So if some one has a action and a little cash and would like a nice complete rifle let me know. Otherwise I may just have to take it apart.

Good idea to keep it together if it's in good nick.

Plenty of partially butchered one's around that
can be taken apart for custom builds if needed.

It really is a nice one WA marked and the cartouches on the wood are very strong and of course it has the Kangaroo on the top of the reciever.

Post some pictures - you may find a buyer here.
What type/cal. are you planning on building?
I know of a Francotte martini that may suit you, and it has been rebarreled to .22rf so non-original already.

Michael,

If the one you have is still in its original chambering (.310 cadet), you might just have to try it - it is an adorable little round - and usually, the combonation of rifle and ammo is pretty accurate too. I've shot mine out to 300, and was surprised at the accuracy of the little rifle...

belgmart is right.
310 is a really fun chambering in a martini.
How about this to work on:

This is a Birminham action. They make incredible little varmint rifles - .17HMR here. Buddy has his in .17Ackley Hornet & I am tempted to convert mine to the same. tis rifle takes gophers to 240 yards when required, but usually I try to stay inside 200 yards. At that range head shots are capable - amazingly accurate rifle - little or no wind, 3/8", 5 shot groups 100 meters (FOR A RIMFIRE!). Good actions are needed for that kind of accuracy and the Martini does it.
