Had this emailed to me this morning by a friend---pretty interesting and yes, something you don't see every day..

>> Hello all, see attached photos.
>>
>> Background: My brother, Daniel, was visiting a friend in Montana and
>> touring through Glacier National Park. They were hiking up a CLOSED
>> ROAD when they came upon this scene. It is evident that the mountain
>> lion and bighorn sheep were fighting on the mountain and fell to
>> their immediate death sometime during the struggle. Pay special
>> attention to the mouth of the mountain lion.....as it still has sheep
>> hide in its mouth!!!!

I have seen this before several years ago , but it was credited as happening near Salmon ID.

I have to admit looking at the pictures it looks more like Glacier Park than Salmon Idaho. Although I've seen more Big horn in the Salmon area than in Glacier.

None the less an awesome picture.

Could be true.

One day while taking a friend back to the Spokane WA airport we were driving along a very windy road and came around a turn and there in the middle of the other lane was a bobcat holding a deer down on the road by its throat!!

We were pressed for time and could not stop, but did notice just about 50 yards past the tight turn, a big rig hauling wood chips comin fast and looking for a new hood ornament!

Wow!! That is a very strange thing to see. A little eerie in perspective of the scenery, the rain, the broken horn. It's easy to fill in the preceding events by looking at the ending, but it sure would've been incredible to have watched it unfold before you.

It really makes you wonder just how desperate a wild animal must become with hunger. Amazing photos indeed.

Awsome sight! Would the finder be allowed to skin such critters to mount for himself if he could establish the way they died?

That ram looked like he was trying to fight with his own reflection on the front end of the truck. he kept staring at it when he got closer. It's probably the first time he's ever seen himself!

That cat looks rather young to me. Great pictures though.
