New Australian Enfields - information requested
      #13550 - 16/04/04 08:57 AM

http://www.tristarsportingarms.com/m10rifles.htm

I saw this selection of lovely new versions of my favourite rifle, the Lee Enfield, and the site says that they are newly manufactured and imported into the USA from Australia. Would anyone know anything about these rifles and would you please post a link to the manufacturers' site if you know of one?

Thanks and good hunting!

It is a Australian company owned but they are made in Singapore . The same company made the Winchester M1887 shotgun in Lithgow, NSW, Australia . I have handled one of their rifles and basically it is a scaled down Enfield , quality is better than the originals but not as good as a average american sporter rifle. A reasonable scrub gun but I will stick with my Lithgow SMLE and No5 "Jungle Carbine" in great .303 British.

Looks as if they ruined a perfectly good smelly... I actualy love the original smle's of all mark's, #1mk3 is my favorite. It also seems a shame to change from that grand ole caliber.. Like RLI, I would prefer an origanal even for hunting.
