He guides for high dollar clients. The guys that you see in his films are paying big dollars to be there. People pay to hunt and promote there products with Craig.

Your correct that the everyday joe doesn't book with him, I should have been more clear.

Not sure if that was meant as a snide remark or not, in regards to Sullivan. So I will let that one go..

Generalwar, I must have read over 500 books on hunting and fishing, maybe loads more, since I was about 9 years old. In the 36 years since then there is only 1 book I stopped reading after about page 50 (though I tried desperately hard). I gave up since it was such egotistical, "I am God" prose I couldn't hack it. "Death and Double rifles" by Sullivan. I have been told that if you meet him in the flesh he is not a bad chap and admits he portrays himself like an ars* to sell his products. Well, each to his own. If anyone wants said book they can have it for free if they pay postage, it doesn't deserve space in my library. rgds, Mike Bailey

p.s. just finishing "Hunter" by JA Hunter, great read, can't understand how I never saw it before

MB,

Have read 3 of his books--they are all good...and really make you wish you could have lived that kind of life for a few years...

Don't think that is correct..unless a lot has changed in the last few months, Craig Boddington is NOT a PH..never has been and probably never will be...

What you might be thinking of is that SCI has autioned off some hunts, where if you are the purchaser, you are buying the hunt and Craig comes along with you, BUT, in all that I know of and have seen, he is not the PH..merely along for the ride as he was "part of the package" so to speak...

I know they auctioned off some a hunt I believe last year and CB come with plus you got to use his double rifle...in the two hunts I have seen him go on with that were auctioned, one was with Chifuti and the other was with Calitz in Botswana..

You an certainly contact Chifuti to verify the above, but as it sits I am 99.9% certain of the above..

Just a thought - can you be a member of PHASA without being a PH? I don't know. While that would technically answer whether he was a PH or not, it would also explain why his groups used other PHs in countries outside SA...

I have hunted with MS but not CB, a friend hunted with Craig on a couple of occasions [Jeff Wemmer], and some of his auctioned hunts have gone to others Im aware of. Craig is not a PH in the normal sense of the word, I should have been more specific.
