500 Soper

Anybody have any info on the 500 Soper cartridge?
Is there one? Sherman Bell mentions a Soper in .500 bore, but it could have been in one of the standard .500 chamberings of the day.
If there is one, I suspect it is a light taper case of about 2 3/4".

As far as I know, no .500 Soper cartridge - but the .450 Soper round was based on a .50 cartridge head, with a weird taper to .45. I do know they chambered quite a few different .45 cartridges (577-450, #2 Musket, 45 Soper etc.), but I never heard of a .500 Soper.
