hi guys I am the one that has the jeffery's gryphon showed here I have since cleaned it up got rid of dirt and rustI soaked all rust in oil for about a week then cleaned it up .I also cleaned the stock with out using any cem's just alot of elbow grease the rifle has sat for 45 years with nothing done to it here are some pic http://s654.photobucket.com/albums/uu264/invisabill1958/jefferys%20333/

Good looking rifle you have there...

There is a few here that shoots the .333Jeffery, like me for instance....hahaha.
I am taking one to africa here soon.
If you are going to shoot the rifle, I can provide you with loading data.

thank you for the welcome I am just starting to get a few rifles just bought a model 98 that is a mess I posted some pic of it I think it will look good when I finish it pretty scary right now I only paid 50 bucks for it .I figured it would be a good project gun to play with. last fall I got myself a nice winchester 1886 that is in very good shape now all I have to do is learn how to load my own shells between that and the jeffery's put you in poor house going to the range

What caliber is the '86? It looks very nice.

Nice rifles. Any chance of more details of the Jeffery taken in better light?

I'm glad to see that in cleaning it up you didn't remove all the patina of age. My brother-in-law used to 'renovate' antique furniture by refinishing it until his wife spat the dummy.

it is 40-82

I will take some more pic and post them I need a better cam, this one is not that good I am getting new one this week .I only used a weak soap to clean stock did not want to mess it up just went slow and easy it cleaned up just fine
