Unusual Elephant hunt
      #12877 - 01/04/04 02:36 PM

Folks,

I’ve just signed a contract with the Botswana Game Department in Harare. They wanted me to correct the serious Elephant overpopulation problem. So we are offering hunters the chance to shoot driven Elephant as we chase them past the guns in light aircraft.

This offer is only open to syndicates of 6-10 guns and is sold on a daily basis. Each gun will be allowed to keep 2 Elephant carcasses to take home with them.

PETA & RSPCA have volunteered to collect the other carcasses and transport them to Zimbabwe to help feed those poor starving war veterans. The kindly philanthropist President Mugabe has offered to take the tusks away to his palace for secure storage until you can get your CITES licences arranged..

We suggest that you use that fine traditional Elephant calibre of 45-70 with cast bullets for this shoot and if you can bring two or more rifles each, the local asylum will provide loaders at no additional cost.

Costs. The safari begins and ends in Harare Airport on the Botswana – Ethiopia border, and the all inclusive package is US$50 per day…….plus tips. However it is considered extremely bad form if you turn up in a vehicle that is too small to take your 2 Elephants away with you.

We guarantee the only additional charges you will face will be from the Elephants.

This offer is open for 1 day only and bookings can be made through Ray Atkinson.

I tried all day to call Ray, but his line was busy...must be selling these safaris like crazy.

Could I use my slingshot if I load it up with 900 grain Woodleigh bird shot? I got 8 guys from the syndicate, but all they shoot are 22 L.R. Ruger pistols with silencers...but they do pop everybody...err..uhh...everything at close range...right behind the ear, so that should be no problem. Maybe they would pay a courtesy visit to PreZ Mugabe??

Do I get a $55.00 discount if I show my PETA Life Member's tatoo of a sea otter being skinned alive by Cleveland Amory?

I'll pack my WWII Duce& A Half in my carry on bag to haul out the dead...and bring my vintage Walt Disney Bambi Edition skinning knife...

Can I buy two of these...? Maybe Ray's off the phone now...

Damn and I was just having my new Greener Empire made up as a double .45/70 regulated with extra slow hard cast bullets. Just for this hunt.

I've never hunted on the Botswana - Eithiopia border. The shufta scare me too much.

I've got no problem with Uncle Bob holding onto the ivory. I know he's trustworthy. After all he is holding 'in trust' half the countries farms for the owners while they take a short well earned holiday.

No problem on transporting the ele meat. I'm going to concentrate it and stuff it all into two suitcases to take home. Yum.

A driven elephant shoot. Damn I will need two of those .45/70 doubles !

PS I've got not problem with PETA as long as they send one of the nude protest models to help with the butchering.
