Need 12 bore bullet sizer

Looking for a 12 gauge lead bullet sizer. Need to get to .735". Anyone know where I can get one or know of somebody who can make one?

Corbin Manufacturing will make you one, I'm sure. You could also try Dave Kiff at Pacific Tool and Gauge.

How big a bullet are you sizing down to .735"?

.010" is a long way to go, but if they are lubricated first, with the groove or grooves completely filled, they'll size down just fine. If not lubed first, they'll distort.

Thanks for the two suggestions.

I cast them and they come out a tad over .735" which is actually ideal. Then, after two weeks, they expand, not by much but by enough to make a difference. I'm using 16:1 lead:tin.

Are these bullets for a paradox or fully rifled barrels? The bullet diameter needs are different for each gun, as Ross Seyfried found out.

As far as the bullets expanding after casting, I've not seent his myself - I only use pure lead in the ML's and WW's for modern-type guns. It's been 25-30 years since I used tin/lead alloys - the detailed cast bullet memories of those days are just about gone.

H&H. I cast and shot a batch of bullets that were .735" and would drop nearly all the way down the barrels. They shot well. But after a couple of weeks the bullets swelled just enough that they only drop about 8" into the barrels.

Which bullet mold are you using and what year was your pdx made? Does it have 7 or 9 grooves?

"Official" bullet diameter for both of the guns is .7355" per spec on original "Regulator" tool of the same period. Unfortunately, I don't have a "Regulator".
