These rifles have a fixed V blade instead of the normal folding rear unit. Does any one know where I can buy one for my 1-H tropical?

Or New England Custom Gunworks.

I believe they have both wide V and blanks for filing that fit the 3/8 dovetail. I've bought the blanks myself as I do not like "V" rear sights.

They also have blanks for fitting to oddball dovetails. I've used them also, and filed-to-fit.

The same shallow V sight blade is also used on the .375s and larger. Just call Ruger (NH) and tell them you need the blade on a model 17100 rear sight. That is a left-hand .375 Stainless, but the sights are all the same.

Love those wide "V" sights. Have one on my M94 Big Bore '94 .375, the 9.3x57, 9.3x62, had one on the .458 2" and have one on the .40 Squirrel flintlock squirrel rifle. If you get used to the wide, shallow V with a front bead - and it doesn't take lone, they are the fastest and most accurate open sight I've ever used & I've used just about all designs.
