Question Regarding Tool with CZ 550
      #12211 - 23/03/04 07:10 AM

Fellows,

Just arrived back from Europe. Visited Holland and Holland the people were quite nice even though I wasn't buying. However, the main reason for my post is a tool that I received with my CZ 550 (458 Lott). The tool is shaped like some sort of key. The end has a screwdriver head (flat head) but what puzzles me is in the center of the key. There is a beveled hole that goes straight through the key and is elongated. Does anyone know what this part of the tool is used for?

With Kind Regards
Dr. Cathey

Perhaps my answer is very late, but that tool serves to dismount the rifle bolt. I do not know as it is used, but that is the end of the tool.

A greeting

Oscar.

When I bought my CZ 375H&H last November, in addition to the tool was a spare set of sling swivel screws and a spare "stay" (F shaped piece of metal that sits in the stock behind the rear sight base lug). I suppose that it would be possible to lose a swivel screw but why a spare "stay" - what can happen to the original one?

Infact the tool is used to strip the firing pin spring from the firing pin, the large part of the hole slips over the spring & then the elongated part of the hole slips between the coils the enable the tool to be used to compress the spring so the pin can be dismantled. The screw driver is the correct size to adjust the trigger via the screw accessible thru the trigger guard at least thats how I remeber my ZKK602 & AFAIK the CZ550s are much the same.
Steve.

Shinz you are the man! I am new to the “CZ550” gang and could not for the life of me work out what that tool was for.
