Hello Marrakai
it's a very rare but very good shooting carbine in the above mentioned caliber.

Wow! That specimen is in very fine condition indeed.

Why that chambering in that Model? Curses, Johann: I'm going to have to dig deep in my library again on the weekend.....

OK Johann, more information needed. None of my references show a Model 1907.

The most often-published schema for pre-WWII Mannlicher Schönauer models is:
1900 6.5x54 (round bolt-knob)
1903 6.5x54
1905 9x56
1908 8x56
1910 9.5x56
1924 .30-06, 7x57, 7x64, 8x57, 8x60S, 9.3x62, 10.75x68

Please indulge my ignorance here: what's the go?

Also, why no "Oesterr Waffenfabr-Ges.Steyr" on the left side of the action.
...and no "M" in front of the 1907. I'm on a steep learning curve it seems!

I can just make out "Steyr 1907" on the left side of the receiver. I think there were European versions that were not exported such as the NO Model.

Johann,

Were the offset mounts made in 1907 or fitted later?

Another absolue treasure. Congratulations, my friend!
