I missed this post - another beauty Roger. The light coloured scales work really well to contrast the dark damascus lines. Is there a difference between the gray/charcoal damascus here and the sometimes brown colour that you see sometimes?

the variation in colour depends on either the etch or whats used to treat the damascus with after completion.

This is a beautiful knife! I like it! I've wanted a nice damascus blade knife that is also usable and practical for a long time.

What are the regulations, if any, in shipping to the U.S.?

as far as i know
there are no problems in sending this knife or one similar to
the US.
iīve sold a few other similar knives to the us without any problems with customs or any other authorities.

Beautiful knife and sheath. I'm taking the liberty of showing one of the knives that I have customized. It started life as a Buck Bowie; I made a new handle from Red Maple (Acer rubrum) that I stained with nitric acid (aqua fortis). It has a file worked guard and an engraved and browned pommel. The sheath is a copy of the original factory sheath in embossed leather.
