The long overdue New Members and Posts Competition is near finalisation - AT LAST.

Thanks to everyone for their patience after the original Klaserie Buffalo raffle fell through.

This competition will be awarded this weekend.

The prize is still a raffle ticket but the new raffle has a fantastic couple of hunt prizes.

All new members and all posts up to midnight tonnight will be eligible so new members don't miss out.

I have arranged with the raffle organisers of the Flint SCI Chapter to have one of their tickets available for the prize. Here's the details:

2004 SCI Flint Regional Chapter Africa/Alaska Hunting Bonanza

OPTIONS

#1-$12,000 CASH PRIZE - Not available for the NE.com ticket but the option exists if you purchase your own. The NE.com ticket has been purchased with the HUNT option
OR

#2-HUNT OPTION which includes the following:
- A 10 day Alaskan Brown Bear and Black Bear combo hunt (April 28 – May 07, 2004) with Mark Galla’s Alaska Peak and Seas on the 53’ Bear Necessities boat in the Inside Passage of Southeast Alaska (for one hunter).

AND

- A 7 day Cape Buffalo/Plains Game Hunt (date to be determined – July through October 2004) with Con van Wyk’s CONSAF in Tanzania (for one hunter and one observer). Includes daily fees, government fees, trophy fees for one Cape Buffalo, one Zebra, one Nyasa Wildebeest, one East African Impala, and one Warthog, plus air charter to and from Dar es Salaam, and dip and pack for trophies.

AND A Cash Amount of $2,500.

RAFFLE PRIZE DOES NOT INCLUDE: License Fees in Alaska, Shipment of Trophies, Personal Airfare, etc.

-SCI Flint is selling a maximum of 500 Tickets at $100 each.
-Purchaser must declare CASH or HUNT Prize at time of purchase.
-Ticket Stub should be completely filled out. SCI Flint keeps the Stub and Purchaser keeps the large tab.

Drawing to be held on March 27, 2004 at our annual Fundraiser. The Purchaser need not be present to win. Winner is solely responsible for taxes.

NOTE:
The ticket being offered as a prize at NitroExpress.com is in the name of NitroExpress.com.

A winning member and reserves will be selected at random on the basis of a point each for their number of posts and also one as a member. In the interests of making it manageable, their total number of posts on the forum register will be used to allocate points rather than posts since the competition started. In addition all members will be eligible. This is slightly different but it more manageable and more inclusive of all members.

The winning member must also fulfill all the terms and conditions of the NitroExpress.com membership agreement. A key and mandatory requirement being a valid and up to date email address.

The winner (and reserves) will be posted onto the forums and also notified by email (winner only initially).

Closing date is today, midnight Australian Eastern Standard time.

The winning member will be first in line to accept the HUNT prize if the ticket in the Flint SCO Chapter raffle is drawn. They will have a reasonable amount of time to accept the hunt prize (1 week). If they decline or do not accept the HUNT prize another reserve NE.com member will be offered the prize and so on. The idea is NE.com members are to hunt.

It may be possible to split the prize between two members of NE.com drawn from the list as the winner or reserves but the split of the prize is totally at the discretion of NE.com and only on the agreement of Flint SCI Chapter (this was mentioned as being possibly acceptable). This split would only be considered if one of the hunts is not possible for the winner but the other is. The balance of the prize would be offered to reserves in order of them being picked.

If the NE.com member wins the RAFFLE prize, it is a condition they write a story and post some photos of their two hunts at NitroExpress.com.

The Flint SCI raffle ticket is being substiuted for the Klaserie South African raffle where the raffle was terminated and raffle monies returned.

Note I have also purchased two tickets in the raffle personally. The ticket being offered as a prize here is a third ticket in the name of NitroExpress.com. I of course will not be eligible to win the NE.com ticket.
