I have had one for about 3 months ,I have put 100 rounds or so thru it. Very accurate but a big Handgun.

If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for it down there? I really like them but they are a little pricy. I just looked at one last week and they wanted 2500.00 for it.

$1,950 includes GST but it would be $1,755 if you bought it as no tax on exports. This is in Australian Dollars which is I think about .74c to USD so that would be $1298.70 in USD quite a bit cheaper.

Big handgun, hell. It's a clubby 2X4 the way it feels in my hand. I only have a medium size hand and with proper grip, my trigger finger doesn't have enough leverage to pull on that 6# trigger. My Glock 21 feels a whole lot better in that I can at least have enough leverage for my double taps.

I do think it's a chunky gun, but not nearly as bad as the Desert Eagles! I don't think it's that different than my HK Tactical, but then again it depends on hand size and more importantly how the gun feels to you. Personally I think my Sig 226 with a glock sock on it is the most comfortable gun I've ever shot...IMO

Well, it's like this. I hate all double-action autoloaders because of the long pull on the D-A first shot for defensive use. Whereas the Glocks are really a semi-double action which really makes it a semi-single action. The Glock shares the 1911/Browning short throw trigger which is immensely easier to shoot accurately when practicing defensive shooting and for qualifications. I like my Glocks but I LOVE my 1911A1's. I grew up shooting single action autoloaders in the Condition One or cocked and locked mode so I have no use for any double action autoloader ever. I have shot enough DA autoloaders to fill a 55 gal. drum and I still go back to the 1911A1 for accuracy.

I agree I love my 1911's, from my Colt Nat Match, to my Kimbers. Not only are they a classic style, but there are just a buttload of parts and accessories available.

KOOL! I thought for a moment that I was going to have argue about the merits of a useless POS but find that we are like-minded.

Well maybe we can argue about something in the future
What about this for an arguement.....Personally I think that Wilson Combat 1911 pistols are WAY overpriced!!! Give me a Kimber custom match or custom target anyday, and I'll still be ahead about 1800 dollars

I know about a dozen guys who own and operate them. Wilson's are basically hand-fitted and are tight as a virgin. They are so tight that I can only measure .0006" clearance between frame and slide. That's right, three zeros. They have never malfunctioned with all the shooting we've done. In fact, I purposely tried to make one jam up by not cleaning it for up to 2400 rds. Only reason I came with 2400 was that I became extremely fatigued and sore after that many rds.

Yeah but for 3500.00 bucks! it better clean itself And the bottom line is, the wilson isn't going to make you a better shot, practice does that. It's just funny that these "first timers" think that since it's an expensive gun that they are going to be a great shot with it. The chances of me actually being a better shot than my Kimber are slim to none, and I can shoot some pretty tiny groups with it. Now if I was really into competition shooting then maybe I'd look into buying one......nahhhh still to much. Besides, that's a good downpayment on a big ole double rifle
