Looking for info on the 450/400 2 3/8 BPE 80-230 grain load, which the gun in question was originally regulated for. Anyone here have any loads made up for the nitro for black version, regulated in there double? Looking for some worked up load info to give me a starting point..

Sorry no load data for you, but congrats on finding a nice light 400!

What's the rifle's action/barrel configuration and weight?

Look for it on european homepages! It is the 10,3x60R Bündner Patrone , cartridge in use for hunting in canton Graubünden/Switzerland actually again!

Thank you Tinker and Mr G..

The rifle is a Daniel Fraser made just before the turn of the century. Weight is 9lbs. 2 ozs. Action is his patented boxlock ejector with best quality engraving and deep relief fleur de lis fences. Barrels are steel, with a full length flat rib with 1 standing and 3 folding sights out to 250 yards, a flip night bead, and fashioned hooded feature..

I have some various loads coming from a friend at Superior Ammunition, we'll see if I can get this thing where I want it.. I have a feeling it's going to be a long few days, putting holes in the right spot on the paper.

General-

I second Curl's request -- photos please!

It sounds like a nice light hunting rifle.
Think Coastal Black Bear...

Thanks gents!

However, placing photos of my guns as I have done in the past so many times, has only led to some weird happenings through some past retarded members. As well, now with this rule of ownership of photos on this site after a few days, the poster no longer has the right to remove them once the gun is sold. Not a good policy imo, so I will pass on placing any photos of any of my guns on NE in the future.

This is a subject NitroX and I have gone over in detail upon my return months ago.. I wish his position was different but it is what it is..
