Hello to the forum
      #118372 - 06/11/08 06:36 AM

Hi guys,

Thanks for letting me inside your small and nice forum...

I am Klaus and living in Germany, mechanical engineer and designing and trading gear for hunting and shooting in my own little company.

I am hunting usualy about 8km from my house in a small forrest of the state where I have drawn a hunting license for roe-deer, wild boar and foxes. Thatīs a small little ground, but it is one of the finest I have seen in the crowded Rhein-Main area so far...

Thanks Klaus

Welcome Pigeon.

Please join in and tell us about your firearms and hunting. I hear there is a boar "epidemic" (ie too many) in Germany currently?

Hi guys,

Thanks for the welcome...

At the moment I use 3 rifles in my battery:

1.) Ruger Express Rifle, .30-06, with Zeiss Victory Diavari 2,5-10x50, illuminated reticle on my own Titanium Gunworks Titanium scope mount (special edition for Ruger only)
2.) Remington 700 .30-06 with Swarovski 3-12x50, illuminated reticle on my own TG scope mount (Express edition)
3.) Winchester 70 .375H&H Safari Express with Swarovski 3-12x50, illuminated reticle on my own TG scope mount (Multi Weapon edition)

(if anybody tells me how to insert some pics here, I will show You them)

I donīt even hestitate to take the .375H&H on fox and roe deer... Just fun!!!

Well, of course (why else am I in a double rifle forum) I am dreamin of a SxS in probably .450 NE... one day I hope it comes true...

Yes, the pigs are too much here, but nearly no chance to get them most times...

Here a Story from one of my last hunts (just short I know):

Well, I have seen so many roes on the meadow, hare, owls flying over my head, fog on the bottom, moonlight in the sky and suddenly after the fog cleared, the meadow was black: more than 20 pigs coming out, destroying the grass... I picked out the first one, seprating from the crowd and bang... no one on the meadow left... After 20 min I decided to go and have a look: Blood on the point I have shot, parts of the lung as well and a track in the wet grass leading to the small creek...
Blood as well and blood on the other side of the creek, but no track on the other side. After I tried to figure out what happened there, I found it lying dead in the creeks water, just like a piece of earth... 30kg I was realy happy to have Your Blaser belt to drag it about 1km over the meadow to the car...

@Nitrox: Guess we knew from an other forum yet?

Klaus
