Hi all,
long time lurker first time poster. I was thinking about acquiring a FinnClassic 512. I really like the idea of the versatility it could give me in the field. Anyone have a reason I shouldn't buy this rifle/shotgun? Second question, anyone have experience with the double trigger module for this firearm? good/bad/ugly? Third question, Anyone have feed back on doublegunhq.com, as they look to be the best place to get them from.

thanks for the input,
mike

Hi Mike,

I'm more of a lurker than poster, but welcome to the forum. As you know from reading there is plenty of knowledge here. Unfortunately I have no knowledge of the firearm you are interested in. It certainly is interesting (all firearms are!) but not in my realm of study. Best of luck getting opinions. I always seek out thoughts here when there is anything "double" of interest. I wish I could have been more help.

Have owned a couple of them ,one a salesmans set with 4 sets of barrels. Have taken one to Zimbabwe hunting but only used the 9.3 barrels once that time on an Impala but used the 12ga barrels many times on guinea. I like them very much although they aren't the prettiest rifles out there. The shoot well (at least the one's I had).. Have only dealt with the dealer you cite on one occasion. I ordered a filler piece that goes between the barrels to make them a little more attractive and recieved it promptly. It DOES give the rifle a more appealing look in my estimation. The scope mount is positive and functions as designed with ease. Return to zero was acceptable. Adjustment of barrels for regulation with different loads was accompolished with no real problems. The models I had were Valmet marked but don't believe the later versions to be any different. If I had it to do over I would not have sold the 4 barrel set. But that's the fact with many of my deals. Regret after the fact due to the loss not due to the gain.

I have owned a Tikka 512 for more than 10 years now. I have 3 sets of barrels: double rifle 9,3X74R, combo 12ga+7X57R and shotgun 12ga.
I see no reason why you shouldn't buy the gun. It's a bit "rough" in the finish- maybee a bit heavy, but it's a good workhorse- and I haven't had any problems with mine so far (and it's been used a lot)
