Alejandro Sartor guns.
      #118190 - 03/11/08 07:42 AM

I have taken some picture of two more Sartor guns.
I talked to him some years ago and he told me he made his guns almost from scrach.
One of his shotguns (I can not remeber wich one) had Wincheter barrels.
I remember Mr sartor from the time we shot live pigeon arrownd 1975/77. He used only his guns.
Some sais he bought the actions and barrels in Italy and then finish the guns. Some of his friends sais that they saw him working.
I really do not know.......
Some of his designes are very unique for a 1970 gun IMHO.
I would like to hear your oppinions.

Martin,

This one looks really interesting. The action and opening arrangement look really unique and very nicely finished. Are the guns still being made? By someone else, I presume, since Mr Sartor must have retired?

Mehul,
No one cotinue with his guns as it was a one man operation.
There is other guns like this one:

Barrels are free floating, soldered at the breech and with a point of contact half way to the muzzles. You can seaprate the barrels.

Thanks
Martin

Martin,

The guns look really nice to my eye. The lack of a toplever makes the action look really sleek if a little non traditional. Its a pity no one else is making these designs anymore. It would be nice to have something unusual in the world of guns.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post these lovely pictures.

Very good hunting!
