Having a problem with this site.
      #114817 - 19/09/08 07:23 AM

For some time now, when I log on to this site, the topics are listed as they should be, in chronological order, with the most recent posts listed first. However, if I open any one of those posts, then hit the "back" button when finished, the site now displays topics in what seems to be a totally random fashion, with no chronology at all. Am I the only one that this is happening to? Is there an easy fix? I'm no computer wizard by any means so I may be overlooking something.

ronvella,

The back button on your internet browser should reload the page it stored in memory as a temporary internet file. It should not be possible for a reordering to occur when reloading a stored page. Which internet browser are you using? Exactly which button are you clicking when this occurs?

One suggestion is to go to "Tools" and clear your temporary internet files and cookies. Don't turn off cookies, just delete all that are stored on your machine. It could be that your computer is retrieving the wrong temporary internet file because of a corruption in memory. A reboot would be a wise move also.

Take care, Tom

On the topic of each forum column, the column header can be used to reorder the threads. Click on it once and an arrow will appear beside it. Click again and the order will be reversed.

eg if you can you see the posts with the most number of views/posts you can click on those columns.

Same with date of last posting, oldest or newest.

Thanks John, I've got it now. If I click on the heading "Last Post" until I get an arrow pointing downwards, then the posts are listed chronologically, most recent first. It's easy when someone who knows how shows you the way.
