Guiding for a long time in Tanzania, PH Jean Beguerie had his French hunter shoot in July on the Engaruka zone (Intercon Safaris) a record lesser kudu.

Jean Beguerie “ On our area, lesser kudus are located in few spots. Early morning we bumped onto a large fresh spoor that we followed. On a hillock we saw a cow at 80 m. The male was on the right at 120 m, inclination of the hill 45° according to the range finder. The female scrambled away, but weirdly the bull stayed put, probably feeling safe hidden in the grass and bush. Unfortunately as we were uphill the kill was perfectly clean, at 8 AM a 375 HH bullet brought this astounding trophy.”
This exceptional animal will rank very high and perhaps get the nex SCI world record.
Count on Jean to keep us informed on the ranking out of this wonderful trophy.
In the same safari, the lucky hunter got a Gerenuk, a Grant, a Tommie, a wildbeest and an eland.

A very lucky hunter with a magnificent beast. I have so much still to shoot species wise in South Africa alone but Lesser Kudu would be top on my list if I get a chance one day.
