One old shona fellow asked the trackers if I was born with those marks. LOL. I think most everybody noticed, but few commented. They may have thought I was a witch doctor or something. Most of the people down at Humani are christians. The first night at Turgwi Camp on Humani I could hear drums in the distance. It was really neat. I found out later it was from a nearby church. In Africa I suppose drums are used in place of the traditional organ for making a joyful noise.

That's a duggaboy with a lot of character. The safari looks like it was a roaring success. Congratulations.

The buffalo were thin on the ground where we were. They had been hunted hard. I was glad to get him. We had to get down to the Zambezi to hunt hippo. We found some evidence of poachers in the area too. Found a burned out fire near a spring where they were watering. Lots of spoor there, but days old. It was a blast, very exciting hunt. Thanks!

Truth be known, their ancestors may have been converted by Dr Livingstone. As I recall his work took him up the Zambezi.

Those old damaged broomed off duggaboys are much sought after by many German clients. Same for water buffalo in Oz.

Yes, I love him! He's a great old warrior. I would hate to have wound up with a couple I saw taken while I was there, young bulls with soft bosses. One guy couldn't get on a bull and shot a cow. I am very happy. Can't wait to get my trophies back into the states and get the taxidermist started.
