Awesome to see mate. Are you loading woodleighs I take it or swagging others down?

What range are you hitting them at for that level of expansion?

Lastly please tell all of us a little more about your rifle, looks to be a beauty!

Regards,

MOG

This would make a nice big brother for the 318WR.

My 425WR

These "More-or-Less .33's" are pretty interesting calibers. I have no experience at all with any of them but have always been curious about the .338.

As earlier stated, my experience is limited on the .338 Win...I had one once in a used custom..found out the head space was off and got rid of it...however have a really good friend Jim who has only used this caliber for many years--primarily on elk..he swears by it..using 225 gr partitions is his favorite load..

The 338 Ultra I have is a tack driver--all factory--which I plan to take with me next fall on a do-it-yourself caribou hunt in Alaska...figured plenty flat for some longer shots and plenty of power should I run into a unfriendly griz..

I do know the .338 Win is a very popular caliber in my neck of the woods,,, especially with those that do a lot of hunting for elk, moose or bear.....as I mentioned earlier,,, believe 500Nitro is correct in saying for their buff over there., the 375 or bigger is a better choice...

Fantastic, Pato!

My guess is that you Aussies are the luckiest guys in the world in terms of the number of Buffalo you can shoot! I doubt any African country can offer your kind of numbers.

Lovely rifle and lovely trophy!
