Anyone have any information on A. Kohle? I know he was a gunsmith in Germany at some time. I picked up a nice sporter Mauser small ring in 8x57 with 2 sets of claw mounts and the scopes to go with them.
Other markings by his name on the underside of the bbl near the receiver was "Epfendorf o.N."
I tried googling but only found an example of one of his rifles for sale on a site in Europe. Any information would be appreciated.

farshot ,i had one and sold it about a year ago, i did not photograph the rifle like i usually do but what i can remember it had a turn down bolt knob with the back shaved ,horn forend (schnabel style), i standing and folding leaves to both sides ,very slim gun im pretty sure it was 8x57,as far as any info on kohle it is not as easy thing ,but dietrich apel of new england custom gun in new hampshire may be able to help , he is a member of the german gun collectors assc....paul
