I wish it were mine, but it belongs to a customer. 450/400, 26" bbls, stocked to his dimensions... just arrived.

I love it: it's the lowest-paying, but most rewarding job I've had.

Love to have that Double-a strikingly handsome rifle-

Who does Heym's engraving??

Dave - There are about 10 different engravers used both from within Germany and outside of Germany (HEYM has no engravers in-house.)

The choice depends on the type of work to be done. Some specialize in deep-relief, some in bullino, some in scroll, some in animals... Some will work on the simpler patterns, some only do the high-end patterns. They are all very talented, and it's often a function of matching the "style" of engraving to the engraver.

One of my favorites in Germany is Michael Richter. He's very talented all around, and does great animals in bullino and relief. Andreas Schulz is equally as good, but he's become more popular on the high-end stuff and a bit more expensive too. H&W use him, and you know their guns aren’t inexpensive.
