Murgenella Hunting Trip NT
      #110522 - 27/07/08 11:12 AM

Having just come back for a great Pig Hunting trip with Tropical Hunting Safaris in the Top End with operator Peter Lorman. I must state this trip had more to offer then I could imaged because of the keen and hard work Peter and his son Jason put into the hunt and how well they ran the camp. The country in it's self is outstanding truly God's country and how it holds it's own beauty like no other a land of the old ages striking and bold. For pig hunters it's a hog heaven though there is plenty of hogs out there. Peter runs his hunts tight with a major on safety, it's a place for hunters not red neck shooters !
These photo's are but a small group but will give the viewer some idea how wonderful this place is and to the rightful land owners. I can understand why Peter is fully booked 2 to 3 years ahead .

Is the airstrip still useable (and the sawmill huts?).

Looks like fun!

Hey you pinched my hat! Looks the same anyway.

Piggy, piggies.

Any mosquitoes?

Two trailers?

A couple of questions:

How do the pigs react to the bikes noise?

And what sort of quads were being used? How did they handle? I'm in the market for a new quad bike for the farm.

very rough grounds up and down up and down ... very trying.

The bikes used are yamaha's Peter has had diff bikes over the years and swears by this bikes he should know best ! They really get a hard time and have to stand up to tough country
we where riding in if one is doing over 300km's in a week !

If I had to buy a Quad I'll a YAMAHA double shock system.

Lapua

I like your comment "very trying".

Spent a fair while in Quads in Arhnemland
and at the end of the day, you really did feel
"shook up" a bit.

But it was awesome fun and would do it again.
